Brooklyn, NY — November 18, 2021 — scite, an award-winning research tool that helps researchers and students discover and understand research better, has partnered with American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to launch Smart Citations on ASHA publications.

Smart Citations have been developed by scite using advanced machine learning techniques to extract citation statements from scientific articles. These Smart Citations allow readers to easily see how an article has been cited by others, providing a more nuanced and rich source of information than what is offered by traditional citations.

Josh Nicholson, co-founder, and CEO of scite says, "We're very happy to be working with ASHA. Their research has affected my personal life and close family so it is particularly exciting to me to see this go live. In addition to this, we are happy that ASHA has now joined hundreds of other journals to bring in the next generation of citations."

Mike Cannon, Director of Serial Publications and Editorial Services at ASHA, says, "One of our primary aims with our platform and related resources is the addition of context for our users. Scite offers a range of compelling solutions for this, and we're very glad to be able to offer the Smart Citation badge on our journal articles."
